Parent and Child Numerology

Numerology is the study of numbers as meaningful constructs related to human consciousness.  Numbers occupy our lives in many ways, starting with number values associated with the letters of words, especially our names.

We have the numbers of our birthday, month, and year.  Most countries have a number sequence for citizens (in the United States, it is the 9-digit Social Security Number or SSN).  Most of us have a phone number; if we drive a car, we have a number plate.  Each word and sequence of numbers can be reduced to a number between 1 and 9, and each of those numbers has spiritual meaning.

This article will look at the compatibility number between a parent and a child.

The Numbers to Consider

The two most significant numbers for all of us are the final number of our name and the final number of our birth date.  In my case, my full name is Philip Franklin Young, which totals 111, which reduces to a 3.  My birth date is 4/12/1968, which totals 31, which reduces to a 4.  In the case of my daughter, her full name is Maya Athena Young, which totals 63, which reduces to a 9.  Her birthday is 1/30/2005, which is an 11, which reduces to 2.

As it turns out there are three different systems for calculating the name.  The one that is most common, and the one I used, is the Pythagorean system.  But there is also the Chaldean and the Gematria systems.  In the Chaldean system I still end up as a 3, but the total is 75, which reduces to 12, which reduces to 3.  In Gematria, the total ends up at 66, which reduces to a 12, and 3 again!

However, when you run my daughter’s name, you get 50 in the Chaldean system, and thus a 5.  And you get 44 in the Gematria system, and thus an 8.  Regardless of the system you select, the final numerical meanings are consistently interpreted.

Number Compatibility

In Pythagorean numerology, I am a 3 and 4, while my daughter is a 9 and 11(2).  Master numbers like 11, 22, 33, and 44 have special meanings, but also can be reduced.  In our particular case, I have a number design heavily focused on hard work and patience, while my daughter can be more reflective and concerned with giving help to and getting help from others.

Ours is a very good match as a parent and child since I tend to be very tuned into the work that must be done as a parent, especially to establish a good foundation for my child.  And she turns out to be rather introverted and good with one-to-one engagement.  Number-wise, we have a good blend.
