Welcome to the Monthly Tarotscope, a combination of Astrology and Tarot/Oracle Cards. Each month I will draw a card for your sign of the Zodiac. That card represents the meditation for the month for that Sun Sign. The Sun Sign represents your Primary Drive in life, how you best manifest your Life Path, and how the light of the Sun energizes you each day. This month I have chosen to use the Sun and Moon Tarot by Vanessa Decort.

Tarotscope for Aries (Mar 21 to Apr 19)

Sun and Moon tarot 2 of Pentacles card

Maverick Active Fire energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best independently; you must learn self-discipline to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 2 of Pentacles.  The keyword for this card is change; additional keywords are: rebalancing and effort.

Symbolism: A young man juggles two balls, one black and one white, in such a way that the pattern forms an infinity symbol.  The desert landscape is a symbol for the earth element of this suit.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to act and can no longer remain stagnant.  The old patterns do not work and staying still will do more harm than good.  It is time to make some changes and embrace the change process.  The different color of the spheres show the back and forth between light and darkness that must be carefully looked after as a way to tell when something or someone is out of balance and in need of your help.

Tarotscope for Taurus (Apr 20 to May 20)

Sun and Moon tarot Ace of Swords card

Persistent Stable Earth energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you feel secure; you must learn some degree of adaptability to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Ace of Swords. The keyword for this card is ideas; additional keywords are: logic and mental fortitude.

Symbolism: A single sword floats in the sky with a crown at the tip and a serpent on the grip.  It is the symbol for the mind, with the crown as the representative of thought.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to be open to new ideas and new thoughts.  Strike up new conversations and engage in banter with others to increase your learning.  This can also indicate the need for a decisive answer, either yes or no.  You want to seek out clarity and employ logic to any problem or difficulty you face in a situation or relationship.  This is not the time to be emotional, but the time to reason your way to a conclusion or action.

Tarotscope for Gemini (May 21 to Jun 20)

Sun and Moon tarot The Star card

Curious Adaptable Air energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best-doing tasks that stimulate your mind in a variety of ways; you must learn how to focus-on-demand to manifest your best results. Your card this month is The Star (XVII). The keyword for this card is hope; additional keywords are: vision and dream.

Symbolism: A young mermaid pours water from an urn into the ocean, representing the connection of freshwater to seawater, individual consciousness to all human consciousness.  A six-sided star illuminates the sky.  The Hebrew letter Tsad is the bottom left corner, representing someone with unique ideas.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to focus on your dreams, your hopes for the future, and the vision you want to bring into the world.  You want to keep your eye on the goal and believe that you can achieve the goal; anything less would be a disservice to the people looking for guidance and inspiration.

Tarotscope for Cancer (Jun 21 to Jul 22)

Sun and Moon tarot The Tower card

Nurturing Active Water fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you care-take yourself and others properly; you must learn “emotional balance” to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Tower (XVI). The keyword for this card is obliteration; additional keywords are: sudden change and catastrophe.

Symbolism: A tower is struck by lightning and is set on fire.  The damage will reduce it to the foundation and create space for a new structure.  The old must go away completely, even dramatically, for the new to come in.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to brace yourself for a complete resetting or obliteration.  In fact, you might be the lightning and someone else is the Tower.  One way or the other, something that existed before will be completely and fundamentally altered, usually in a destructive, but cleansing way.  The Hebrew letter in the bottom right corner is Pey, which symbolizes the divine spark in humanity.

Tarotscope for Leo (Jul 23 to Aug 22)

Sun and Moon tarot 4 of Swords card

Strong-burning Stable Fire fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you are creative; you must learn structure to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 4 of Swords. The keyword for this card is truce; additional keywords are: rest and meditation.

Symbolism: A young man rests on top of four swords, staring into the sky and contemplating his life, a situation, a relationship, or just the sky above.  He is allowing his mind to be at rest so he can recharge.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to take a mental break.  It is time to pull back and let your mind relax.  If you do not take the needed time to rest, you will not be able to think straight, and your anxiety will only increase.  If you can find a quiet space outside, that is wonderful, but any place where you can meditate undisturbed will help.  Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to enter the meditative state, so you can get the most out of your rejuvenation time.

Tarotscope for Virgo (Aug 23 to Sep 22)

Sun and Moon tarot King of Wands card

Practical Adaptable Earth fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you get all the details in order; you must learn to “see the forest for the trees” to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the King of Wands. The keyword for this card is independence; additional keywords are: maverick and role model.

Symbolism: A young man rides a black unicorn, rearing above a fire while he wields a lit torch.  He is a torchbearer of pioneering energy and his steed is unique and different, both as a unicorn and by being black (instead of the more common white).

When this card appears in a reading, you need to assert yourself and follow your own path. Others may see you as a role model, which is not your concern.  You simply need to chart your own course, trust your own judgment, and move forward deliberately.  The King of Wands leads by doing.

Tarotscope for Libra (Sep 23 to Oct 22)

Sun and Moon tarot 2 of Cups card

Analytical Active Air fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when acting logically; you must learn to mix in feelings to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 2 of Cups. The keyword for this card is love; additional keywords are: flirtation and seeing eye-to-eye.

Symbolism: Two young people face and embrace one another in front of a full moon and on a giant water lily.  These are young lovers or good friends at the early stage of a relationship, where the full moon and giant flower present the emerging potential of the relationship.

When this card appears in a reading, you want to connect and spend time with someone who makes it easy for you to be with them, and they enjoy the ease of being with you.  Since this is an early number in the suit, it is full of energy, but not experience.  There is a simple and fun enjoyment this card represents and wants you to embrace.

Tarotscope for Scorpio (Oct 23 to Nov 21)

Sun and Moon tarot Justice card

Intense Persistent Water energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when bringing or experiencing transformation; you must learn “playfulness or lightness of heart” to manifest your best results. Your card this month is Justice (VIII). The keyword for this card is justice; additional keywords are: fairness and decisiveness.

Symbolism: A fairy godmother hovers between the Scales of Justice.  On one scale is a heart and the other is a feather.  If the heart of the person being judged is worthy, it will be “light as a feather” and the scale will not tilt against them.  The yin/yang symbol is at the center of the scale bridge, representing balance; and the Hebrew letter Teth or Tet at the bottom of the card is a symbol of goodness.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to address a situation objectively, using logic and analysis.  There is a correct or right solution based on what is ethical and appropriate, regardless of the feelings or roles of the people involved.

Tarotscope for Sagittarius (Nov 22 to Dec 21)

Sun and Moon tarot 7 of Wands card

Expansive Adaptable Fire fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best exploring openly and trying new experiences; you must learn to map and record your knowledge to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 7 of Wands. The keyword for this card is valor; additional keywords are: integrity and defending what is right.

Symbolism: A young woman brandishes a staff in defense of herself and the land behind her.  The tops of the staffs approaching her are those who would challenge her, but have an unjust cause.

When this card appears in a reading, you know you are being called upon to stand up for what you believe in and to make sure that belief is worthy of your defense, no matter what the odds against you.  If your cause is just, you will have the “higher ground”, which will give you the advantage and help you succeed.  Those around you have ignoble intentions; do not let them win.

Tarotscope for Capricorn (Dec 22 to Jan 19)

Sun and Moon tarot 4 of Wands card

Ambitious Active Earth fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you are setting and achieving goals; you must learn compassion to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 4 of Wands. The keyword for this card is completion; additional keywords are: gathering with others and shared creativity.

Symbolism: Two young people climb on a wheel while a fire burns in front of them.  The wheel is complete, with no breaks, and they are fully on the wheel, having achieved the goal of getting onto it and riding it for fun.

When this card appears in a reading, you need to think about the tasks you need to bring to completion, and who you need help from to see the tasks finished.  The Ace is the inspiration, the Two is direction, the Three is hard work, and the Four is the reward for the hard work, which you should share with the people who helped and the people who will appreciate what you have created and brought into the world.

Tarotscope for Aquarius (Jan 20 to Feb 18)

Sun and Moon tarot 8 of Swords card

Unconventional Stable Air fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you are authentic and unrepentant; you must learn quiet fortitude to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 8 of Swords. The keyword for this card is interference; additional keywords are: anxiety and doubt.

Symbolism: A young woman is surrounded by eight swords, which entrap her.  Additionally, she has strings attached to her arms and legs, indicating that she feels or thinks herself helpless and at the mercy of powers outside her control.

When this card appears in a reading, it warns you to address one of the hardest mental problems we all face from time-to-time, doubt in ourselves, which can steamroll into the belief that we are constant victims of an uncaring world.  While it is true that life can “come at us”, it is not true to believe we are constantly powerless.  There is some doubt or anxiety that you need to address, perhaps professionally, to overcome the interference the 8 of Swords represents.

Tarotscope for Pisces (Feb 19 to Mar 20)

Sun and Moon tarot 6 of Cups card

Imaginative Adaptable Water fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best connecting with others emotionally; you must learn toughness to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the 6 of Cups. The keyword for this card is pleasure; additional keywords are: friendship and nostalgia.

Symbolism: Two young people are playing together in the shallow water under the light of the full moon.  It is a warm summer night and water lilies represent abundance.

When this card appears in a reading, you should connect and share time with your best friend, the person who brings you the most joy when you are with them.  Also, this card can encourage you to look back at your fondest memories and allow the positive emotions they stir to flow through your energy.  If you have not looked at old photos, cards, or mementos from your past, this would be an ideal month to do so.
